Best Green Companies Awards 2010 24/09/09 In partnership with The Sunday Times and leading environmental consultants Bureau Veritas, Munro Global will shortly be opening entries for The Sunday Times Best Green Companies Awards 2010. The competition gives an opportunity for British businesses to put their green credentials to the test. Now in our third year, the awards examine both company policies and practices and, uniquely, employee engagement with them. The Green List, published in The Sunday Times every May, only includes those companies with the best eco pedigrees – those already running clean, green operations or those that can clearly demonstrate they are making strides in the right direction. Growing numbers of entrants into our competition highlights the fact that climate change is climbing up the business agenda and that consumers are demanding organisations substantiate their green claims. Last year the likes of Tesco, Asda, Marriott Hotels, BT, Canon, Coca-Cola and Eurostar and a whole host of smaller firms took part; even the Environment Agency nailed their colours to the mast, entered, and won an award.
